In-store Saltwater Experience

At Ocean Floor Store, we put a special emphasis on Saltwater fish. You may not notice this at first upon entering our store. You’ll first feel an initial immersion into fresh water. But keep going through and you’ll enter a new world!

As you venture further into our depths, the selection of displays and saltwater fish for sale proves extensive. We boast a 500-gallon central salt water display tank. We also hold live rock aquariums. The first of which is a 175-gallon Bowfront.

You will encounter our 150-gallon coral frag system. Feel free to use one of the floating frag viewers to enhance details and help you choose the right frag.

Under the tiki roof, you will find the second live rock tank. This Cascade tank holds 200 gallons of ocean water. You’ll also find 500 gallons of coral, and 2,000 gallons containing fish and invertebrates for purchase.

Though the salt water system holds 97% of our planet’s water, only 1% of our oceans comprise the coral reefs. Almost the entire selection of aquarium-suitable species come from coral reefs. The vast majority of fish and invertebrates (inverts for short) are Tropical or warm water. This is our focus.

Our Saltwater Fish Collection Source

We strive to have the best selection of saltwater fish for sale. However, we also are concerned with over-collecting and depleting wild populations. This is why you will find an emphasis on sustainability at The Ocean Floor.

We have an impressive selection of man-made live rock. You will find many of our fish and most of our corals are captive bred. We are constantly looking for more captive-bred species to add to our lineup.

The salt water side of our store holds two main systems you can enjoy. The first is a Swim Tank that focuses on fish. It usually contains few or no inverts. The second is a Reef Tank where the focus is on inverts and contains few or no fish.

We regularly stock 2,200 gallons of real harvested seawater in 2 tanks. You can purchase and fill up your containers by the gallon. RO/DI water is also available and is perfect for self-mixing saltwater or regular top-offs.
